From the Publisher:
"In the midst of beauty and mess, chaos and monotony, celebrations and mourning, Jerusalem Greer tells her story of finding redemption in what is rather than what could be, by practicing the presence of God through rediscovering ancient contemplative teachings and practices (solitude, study, work, prayer, and service) and pairing them with domestic arts (baking, gardening, sewing).

Jerusalem writes with a raw honesty that reassures readers they are not alone in feeling not good enough, not wise enough, not Christian enough to figure out God's plans.

"At Home in this Life is the story of how everything I thought would make me happy came undone, and then how I found a way to make myself at home in this beautiful, messy, amazingly tender, completely unbalanced life, by imperfectly practicing one spiritual discipline at a time—smack in the middle of raising kids, mending the sweaters and burning the bread." — Jerusalem Jackson Greer

In addition to being a writer, Jerusalem is also a crafter, former pastor and blogger. She lives with her husband and two sons in Greenbrier Arkansas. As a family they are attempting to lives a slower version of the modern life. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Jerusalem is active on Facebook and Pinterest and regularly posts on her blog "Slow Living in a Fast World" where she records what she calls her "beautymess" attempts at living a sacramental life.

Jerusalem invites us on the journey she's traveled to transformation, with humility, honesty and humor.
—Mark and Lisa Scandrette, authors of Belonging and Becoming and Free

A hopeful liturgy of endurance that weaves profound truths with ordinary home-keeping tasks. Jerusalem reminds us that that all is sacred and God is vibrantly alive in our mundane.
—Shannan Martin, author of Falling Free: Rescued from the Life I Always Wanted

In a world where social media encourages perfection through retouched photos and happy highlights, we need truth tellers like Jerusalem Jackson Greer. At Home in this Life reminds the reader that, though our lives are not perfect, they are still beautiful.
—Traci Smith, author of Faithful Families

Jerusalem Jackson Greer's story is tonic for what ails us. . . . A comforting but instructive lesson in how to make a home and find peace in the seasons before our dreams come true.
—Christie Purifoy, author of Roots & Sky

Jerusalem Jackson Greer weaves her own ordinary story with the wisdom of St. Benedict's rule, and in doing so invites us all into the gifts of stability, service to one another, and as she says, 'cooperation with God in my own transformation.'
—Micha Boyett, Author of Found: A Story of Questions, Grace, and Everyday Prayer

Jerusalem's wit, candor, and love of ancient practices woke up my bones to a renewed sense of wonder at how God is at work around us all the time, in ways big and small.
—Tsh Oxenreider, author of At Home in the World and Notes From a Blue Bike"
