Sons of Antioch: Harp of David

The Sons of Antioch Byzantine Choir was formed in 2021 and is made up of several young Byzantine chanters. With the blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan SABA, Archbishop of New York and Metropolitan of All North America, the choir has become widely acclaimed and active in the pursuit of prayerfully offering traditional ecclesiastical music at a high level for the edification of people everywhere.

Recorded live at Saints Constantine and Helen Antiochian Orthodox Church in Dallas, Texas, Harp of David presents six psalms in the living tradition of Byzantine chant. Chanted primarily in English, this live recording preserves the prayerful intensity and communal character of the original performance.

Moving through themes of Resurrection, divine majesty, suffering, deliverance, spiritual thirst, persecution, and steadfast trust in God, the album gives voice to the full range of prayer found in the Psalter. The selections include original compositions and English adaptations by Patrick Haddad and George Zain, drawing in part from beloved settings by Fr. Nicholas Malek and Elder Jacob of Hamatoura.

This product is a physical audio CD, professionally presented in a beautiful full-color jewel case featuring original Sons of Antioch artwork. It is ideal for personal listening, gifting, or adding to a collection of Orthodox sacred music.
