When Metropolitan Antony Bashir established the Western Rite Vicariate in the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, he saw this as, among other things, an effort at reuniting Christians which he zealously encouraged and supported.

This volume is a compilation of documents and essays, some old and some new, in four parts: Foundational Documents; History of the Western Rite; Liturgical Practices; and Select Essays. These documents and essays are intended to describe the mission and practice of the Vicariate.
